Rainbow Restoration is a leading provider of disaster recovery and restoration services in the UK, committed to helping individuals and businesses recover from Major and Complex Losses. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Major and Complex Loss (MCL) projects, managing a team of MCL Project Managers and Supervisors, providing technical support, and delivering technical training while ensuring compliance to all Health & Safety regulations. Your primary focus will be on achieving operational objectives, implementing the business strategy, and driving growth within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Major and Complex Loss Management:
   • Oversee and manage Major and Complex Loss projects, ensuring efficient and effective execution including pricing and customer engagement.
   • Provide leadership and guidance to MCL Project Managers and Supervisors.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
2. Technical Support:
   • Serve as a technical expert, providing support to operational teams and addressing complex technical issues.
   • Collaborate with field teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during restoration projects.
   • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in all technical aspects of restoration projects.
3. Operational Objectives and Strategy Delivery:
   • Work closely with the leadership team to develop and execute operational objectives aligned with the overall business strategy.
   • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to technical operations.
   • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency.
4. Network Technical Capability:
   • Maintain and enhance the technical capability of the Rainbow Restoration network.
   • Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the organisation.
   • Collaborate with regional teams to standardise technical processes and ensure consistency across the network.
5. Reporting and Collaboration:
   • Report directly to the Head of Technical & Audit, providing regular updates on technical operations and project status.
   • Report on financial revenues and costs of work in progress and year to date figures.
   • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure alignment of technical activities with overall business objectives.
   • Participate in leadership meetings to contribute insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant technical field qualifications such as BDMA Senior Tech/Commercial Tech IICRC etc
• Extensive experience in disaster recovery and restoration, with a focus on major and complex losses.
• Proven leadership experience, including managing technical teams and projects.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective technical training programs.

• H&S training (IOSH / NEBOSH) desirable

• Have good experience in using MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
• Willing to travel throughout the UK and Northern Ireland
